Frequently asked questions

Should I encode the whole URL or just the values?

Encode individual query values and path segments. Encoding a whole URL also encodes :, / and ?, which breaks it.

Why does a space become %20?

URLs can't contain raw spaces, so they are written as %20 (or + in form data). Decoding turns them back into spaces.

Is it free, and is my data uploaded?
