Mock API

Define GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE endpoints that always return the response you set — JSON, status code, headers and delay — at your own URL like api.engixy.com/your-name/products. Perfect for building a frontend before the backend exists, or for testing error handling.

Sign in to create your mock API

Mock endpoints are saved to your account so they keep working for your app and teammates. A free account is enough.

GET https://api.engixy.com/your-name/products
→ 200 OK
[{ "id": 1, "name": "Keyboard", "price": 49.9 }]

How to use it

  1. Sign in and pick your mock API name (it becomes part of the URL).
  2. Add an endpoint: method, path such as /products/{id}, status code and the JSON to return.
  3. Call it from your app, Postman or curl; the request log shows every call and the body you sent.

Frequently asked questions

Can I test error responses and slow APIs?

Yes. Pick any status code from 100 to 599 (404, 422, 500, 503…) and add a delay of up to 10 seconds to test loading states and timeouts.

Can I call my mock from a web page on localhost?

Yes. Mocks send CORS headers that allow any origin, so fetch() from any page — including http://localhost — works without a proxy.

Is it free, and who can see my mocks?

It's free with an account (10 endpoints, 60 calls per minute); Pro raises that to 100 endpoints and 600 calls. Anyone who knows the URL can call a mock, so don't put real secrets or personal data in responses.
